I have just discovered a thirties cigarette card which featured Wendy Hiller as Sally Hardcastle in a scene from Love on the Dole. I was, of course, delighted to learn that that the play did make it into the world of cigarette cards as early as 1935, when it was enjoying its first success, and when Wendy Hiller became a star through playing the part of Sally.
