Un-asterisked articles on the website are based on original research published in that 2018 book and so are not original on publication here – they are all updated though and generally do contain some new knowledge or fill gaps in what was known about Greenwood and his work in 2018. All the articles on the website aim to be original, to show scholarly rigour, and to make significant contributions to knowledge – in some cases slightly niche knowledge about Greenwood and his work, but mainly knowledge with wider significance for the understanding of working-class writing and its contexts in the culture and society of Britain in the period from the nineteen-thirties until Greenwood’s death in the nineteen-seventies.
