Though this site has had a biographical time-line for WG since its early days, I thought it was time it had a fuller narrative account of his life. I think this is the fullest biography available online (the fullest in print is in my book, but this new one has quite a lot of fresh information which has come to light since 2018, and has led me to some new interpretations).
